I like food. I like cheap stuff. Put them together and you've got a winner!

Steakrs R Us is one of many sizzling plate restaurants in the city but this resto has Peso Power.

I ordered the Lengua for P150--3 generous pieces, a small hill of mashed potatoes and your typical buttered vegetables of corn, carrots and beans. Nothing special with the side dishes but they were generous with the gravy what with the mashed potatoes swimming (or drowning in it).

The Bufra ordered the Bangus Belly. Unfortunately, I am deathly afraid of bangus because I got bones stuck in my throat in my youth. But he says it was good.

You have option to "upgrade" your carbs from plain rice to either mashed potatoes or garlic rice.

Will try the other dishes soon.

cybs if you are ever down in the abs/gma area... go to cow king! P150 for a new york pepper steak with rice or mashed potatos. super sulit.

I LOOOOOVE COW KING! I've eaten there several times. My friend and his friends/family own the place. Isn't it so super sulit? And don't you just love the branding and the wall graphics? Ay, girl, you are a meatatorian (a term Tals coined 3 million years ago) after my own heart!

Oh My Gas! So am I! I love my carbs. I love my rice but only with certain food (usual suspects would be any masarsa Pinoy food) but I love love love my bread and potato (in all formats). OK, which would you give up (as in you have to choose): Bacon or Rice?

this is one of the meanest questions ever ha! it took me a while to make a decision. in the race between bacon and rice... i would have to say goodbye to rice. i will just have to substitute plain pasta (or polenta or couscous) for my rice when i am eating adobo. bacon has no alternatives.

did tals ever tell you about the weekend that kaz and i went to la union and we ate 4 kilos of bacon in two days? hahahaha.
